1Before the Visit

You don't need to clean your house. You just need to tell us about your animal.

When you book, we ask three things: your pet's name, their history with vets, and one specific concern. That's it. We read it before we arrive.

No intake forms. No fasting requirements unless bloodwork is planned. We'll text you the morning of with a 30-minute arrival window — not a four-hour one.

'What if my house is a mess?' — We've examined animals in mudrooms, on back porches, and in barn stalls. We bring our own surface. We have seen everything.

2Day Of

We knock softly. We move at your animal's pace, not a clinic schedule.

Dr. Okonkwo or Dr. Reyes will introduce themselves to you first, then let your animal approach on their own terms. We carry treats from three different protein sources because some animals have allergies and some are just picky.

We're not watching the clock. A reactive dog who needs fifteen minutes before we can touch them gets fifteen minutes. A frightened cat who needs to stay under the bed gets examined under the bed.

We serve homesteads and rural properties within 40 miles of Portland. For large herds or farm calls, we ask for a 48-hour booking window. Livestock emergency line is available for established clients.

We leave before your animal notices we were strangers.

Before we drive away, we print a care summary and leave it on your counter — every visit, every time. It covers what we found, what we gave, what to watch for, and when to call.

Follow-up questions? Text us. We reply within four hours on weekdays, within eight on weekends. Lab results come back through a secure link, not a voicemail you have to decode.

'What if something comes up after you leave?' — Our after-visit line is staffed by a vet tech until 9pm. For true emergencies, we maintain a direct referral to the nearest 24-hour emergency clinic, and we'll call ahead for you.
